The Sri Lanka – Canada Business Council (SLCBC) successfully held a comprehensive briefing on May 21st, 2025, for the upcoming Canada Education Fair and Jaffna Investment & Trade Forum 2025. The session took place at The Ceylon Chamber of Commerce, bringing together all confirmed exhibitors.

The “Canada Education Fair/ Career Guidance Job Fair and Jaffna Investment & Trade Forum 2025” is a significant two-day event scheduled for May 30th and 31st, 2025, in Jaffna. This comprehensive initiative is a collaborative effort by the Sri Lanka – Canada Business Council (SLCBC) of the Ceylon Chamber of Commerce and the Canada High Commission in Colombo. Attendees can explore the Education Fair, designed to promote opportunities in Canadian and other overseas education and skills training. Alongside this, a Career Guidance and Job Fair will be held, connecting job seekers with potential employment opportunities.
This event will also feature dedicated Technical Sessions focusing on key sectors: I. Agriculture, Fisheries and Aquaculture; II. Entrepreneurial Sector (Education, Technology, Financial Services and Start-ups); III. Tourism and Hospitality; and IV. SME and Supply Chain Management. Also special presentations from IRCC Officials – Canada and VFS Officials – UK into very insightful information relating to studying abroad. The Jaffna Investment Forum will offer invaluable networking opportunities with industry leaders. The entire event will culminate in an awards ceremony celebrating innovation and excellence.
