Prior to their departure to Canada, the delegates of the Sri Lanka – Canada Business Council (SLCBC) of the Ceylon Chamber of Commerce, who were part of the Trade and Investment Promotion Delegation to Canada from 28th October to 9th November, had the privilege of meeting Hon. Sunil Handunnetti, Minister of Industry and Entrepreneurship Development, at the Parliament premises.
During the discussion, the President of SLCBC, Mr. Mohamed Hameez briefed the Hon. Minister on the objectives and engagements planned during the visit, including participation at business networking events and meetings aimed at strengthening bilateral trade and investment ties.
The Hon. Minister extended his best wishes to the delegation and assured his fullest support towards promoting Sri Lanka in Canada, particularly in view of “Asia’s Fast Growing Economies Expo” scheduled for 8th & 9th of May 2026.
